Clement says Federal Budget will help Parry Sound-Muskoka

According to Parry Sound-Muskoka MP Tony Clement, Canada’s 2014-2015
Budget focuses on what people really care about.
That means employment and infrastructure projects, with the spending aimed at
connecting workers with unfilled jobs.
The budget will also see $40 million spent on repairing and
maintaining small craft
harbours across Canada and $305 million over five years to enhance
broadband high-speed internet access for rural and Northern communities.

Changes to charity donations are also coming.
Now when a Canadian charity gets donations from a state known to sponsor
terrorism, Canada’s Minister of National Revenue can refuse to register the
charity and revoke its charitable status.

More from Clement on how the budget will affect local residents…

Overall, the budget brings $1.8 billion in new spending, which is
being financed by
an increase in tobacco product taxes to the tune of $4 per carton or
50 cents a pack.
