Car windows smashed in Algonquin Park

KILLALOE, ON- Visitors to Algonquin Park were left with evidence of their trip to the park.

In a weekly O.P.P. release, the Killaloe detachment dispatched officers to calls of car windows being smashed.

According to the police report, between Sunday, June 2nd, and Monday, June 3rd vehicles at the Canis Bay campsite, and the Western Uplands trail had their windows broken in.

Because of these incidents, the police are reminding people regardless of where they are to continue the Lock it or Lose it campaign.

The campaign encourages drivers to roll up their windows, lock their cars, and whenever possible hide valuables from sight if they need to stay in the vehicle.
