O.P.P. investigating threat allegations at Ridgewood Public School in Coboconk

COBOCONK, ON- An investigation into threats is underway at a Coboconk school.
According to the Kawartha Lakes detachment of the OPP, police were contacted on May 29th by a parent after their child was threatened by another.
Both students go to Ridgewood Public school in Coboconk.
Although the details of the threat and the students involved are being withheld, the Trillium Lakelands District School Board said in the police news release that safety of students and staff is their first priority.
“We have safety protocols in place as well as a code of conduct policy outlining conduct expectations,” read the district’s statement.
“Our staff support prevention, intervention, and response to any unacceptable behaviour. Incidents are responded to appropriately as may be called for in a particular circumstance.”
The O.P.P. say that the investigation is ongoing at this time.
