Two Huntsville locals fined $10,000 for operating a pit without a licence

A Huntsville pit owner and equipment operator have been fined thousands for operating a quarry without a licence. John and Michael Broadbent plead guilty to the charge. John Broadbent was fined $8,000, while Michael Broadbent was fined $2,000. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) says they operated the quarry from August 2013 to May of this year in Chaffey. The MNRF says you have to have a licence under the Aggregate Rescources Act to operate a pit.
