Parry Sound OPP lay stunt-driving charges for the 23rd time in 2019

PARRY SOUND, ON- Another driver is facing stunt driving charges from the Parry Sound police.

According to a news release issued by the West Parry Sound detachment of the OPP, a member was on stationary patrol along Highway 400 in Seguin Township on Tuesday night.

The officer witnessed a southbound vehicle going much faster than the posted speed limit. Shortly after 9:30 p.m., police stopped a vehicle going over 150 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone.

The driver, a 19-year-old man named Cloe Moore from Essa Township, is now facing charges of racing a motor vehicle with excessive speed, and driving while suspended.

He is set to attend court in Parry Sound on June 25th, 2019.

His licence has been suspended for seven days and the vehicle he was operating has been impounded for seven days.

Moore’s charges mark the 23rd time a driver has been stopped by the West Parry Sound detachment for stunt driving.
