MPP Miller announces funding for local bridge, road projects

Four projects in Norm Miller’s riding are getting millions of dollars of investment from the province.

The Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP announced the funding today, which is part of the Ontario government’s deal with the federal government through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program.

The projects are the Etwell Bridge replacement in Huntsville, the Snider’s Bay Bridge replacement in Gravenhurst, the Black Bridge replacement in Bracebridge, and the Yonge Street rehabilitation in Burk’s Falls.

The total eligible costs for the projects will be split between the federal, provincial and municipal governments. Those costs are $641,168 for Etwell Bridge, $919,540 for Snider’s Bay Bridge, $2,186,863 for Yonge Street, and $2,222,100 for Black Bridge. The projects are now awaiting approval from the federal government.

“These projects make up the fabric of our community,” said Miller “They’re the things that matter – the roads and bridges that get us home at night.”
