Police are investigating a fatal snowmobile collision in McMurrich/Monteith Township.
Almaguin Highlands OPP says the collision happened just before 10:00am yesterday morning when a man was snowmobiling on groomed OFSC trail 711 on Harrison Lake Road when the machine hit a tree.
Police, EMS, and the Fire Department were called to the scene where 56-year-old Herb Bishop of Paris, Ontario was pronounced dead
Police say speed was a factor in the collision.
A post mortem was scheduled yesterday to find the cause of death.
