Remembrance Day marked by ceremonies throughout Muskoka

Towns across Muskoka marked Remembrance Day ceremonies and many were well attended. In Bracebridge, Memorial Park was packed by the cenotaph as dignitaries and others paid their respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. The Reverend Michael Barnes said we don’t glorify war, but do back just causes to protect freedom. A parade from Memorial Arena wound its way up Manitoba Street to the park just prior to the ceremony. Local war veterans, police, cadets and the Bracebridge Legion Pipe Band were some of those who took part. (Photo by Matt Sitler)
