OPP: prepare yourself for winter driving
As we get our vehicles ready for winter driving, the OPP wants you to also pay attention to the weather around you. Huntsville Constable Lynda Cranney says conditions could change from town to town.
Cranney also says you should avoid going out on the roads during bad weather. But, if you have to be on the road, Cranney suggests you put together a kit to keep in your car in case your get stranded.
Cranney says it’s also best to make sure you have your cell phone fully charged and with you in case you need to call someone for help. Last year, the OPP reported over 33,000 car crashes across Ontario during winter.
