Almaguin Highlands has swept both the junior and senior boy’s divisions at the Muskoka Parry Sound Championships. In the junior championship final, the Highlanders came back from a 2 to 1 set deficit against the Bracebridge Lakers to win the championship in the fifth and deciding set. Meantime, Bracebridge earned a berth in the final by defeating the Huntsville Hoyas in the semi-final. In senior action, the Highlanders got off to a quick start against Bracebridge in the championship match, defeating the Lakers 25-17, 25-17, and 25-20. Both the junior and senior Almaguin teams will go to the Georgian Bay Championships next week in the single “A” division. Meantime, Bracebridge will represent the double “A” division at the Georgian Bay Championships.
