The number of area roads that have become impassable due to flooding has increased.
Throughout Muskoka low lying roads near rivers are getting covered. Other roads have begun to wash away as culverts are overwhelmed.
Over a dozen roads have been listed as flooded and unusable by the Town of Bracebridge.
In Huntsville, a similar number have been deemed flooded.
As the snowpack dissipates due to the heavy rain in the previous 48 hours, the flooding will peak and begin to retreat.
If more rain were to hit in the next few days existing flooding would continue.
