The Township of Lake of Bays has been given $25,000 through the province to improve road infrastructure. The Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund is investing $100-million for over 400 communities, half of which is on a formula based system, while the other half is through an application process. The town submitted an application for funding on a future bridge project, but it wasn’t selected. The town says they were up against about 350 applications; some were highly critical projects and more challenging economic situations. However, the $25,000 the town will be getting will help offset the 2015 capital spending.
