Lake of Bays Township is accepting applications for the Allocation of Funds for Youth Programming. Economic Development Coordinator Jennifer Pilon says this application is for community groups, sports organizations and individuals interested in hosting events or programs for kids under 18.

The applications will be brought before council to review. Pilon says council will assess each application based on a number of factors.

Pilon says the town believes it’s important to get the youth engaged in the community and get them involved in events that promote education, the arts and healthy living. She says it’s important to get them involved at a young age as they are the future of this town.
