The Bracebridge OPP’s Motorized Snow Vehicle patrol have been keeping busy.
Even as conditions on area snow trails begin to worsen, police have been conducting dozens of R.I.D.E checks throughout Muskoka.
Last week police issued four tickets from hundreds of contacts with snowmobilers.
Offences included trespassing, helmet use, alcohol, and even a fishing violation.

With the snow rapidly melting police warn riders that what were once smooth trails can now have hazards like rocks and fallen trees.
Also, many streams that were frozen a couple of weeks ago are now flowing but could have snow on top of them, making them appear safe when they are not.
