Police investigate reason for car sinking in Muskoka River

Police say alcohol is not the reason for a car sinking in the Muskoka River.  Just after 5pm yesterday, Bracebridge OPP was called to Beaumont Drive after a vehicle left the road and sank in the Muskoka River. The occupants of the car were able to make it to shore safely with the help of nearby residents.  The vehicle is scheduled to be removed from the river today. Police say the cause of the crash may be from a mechanical failure.
