Help from the public has led to the arrest of a drunk driver.
Bracebridge OPP says just before 8:00pm last night they received a call from a driver who spotted a vehicle swerving and then running a stop light in Gravenhurst.
The caller told police that they had then seen the driver and passenger switch seats.
Officers arrived and after speaking to both people in the vehicle, arrested the original driver.
A 35-year-old man from Oro-Medonte has been charged with impaired, having open liquor and failure to surrender a driver’s license.
He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge April 9th to answer to his charges.
Police are praising the call that led to the arrest and are encouraging people to continue to be vigilant when it comes to other drivers on the road.
