Watt Public School in Utterson has been evacuated.
Sinead Fegan with the Trillium Lakelands District School Board has confirmed a possible propane leak is to blame. There is a strong odour of the gas at the school which the board says may be connected to repairs on the system that were done yesterday.
Buses are taking students and staff to V.K. Greer Memorial Public School. The board says everyone is safe and students will be taken home by bus as usual.
Parents who usually pick their kids up from Watt will instead have to pick them up at V.K. Greer.
