A Gravenhurst woman has been assaulted with a chemical.
The attack happened this past Friday. Bracebridge OPP says the victim was walking on a sidewalk on Muskoka Road North in Gravenhurst when a passing vehicle stopped. A woman then jumped out and sprayed the victim in the face with an unknown chemical.
The suspect was known to the victim and as a result, police were able to quickly arrest her.
Charged with assault is 22-year-old Kate Van Loan of Gravenhurst. She will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 26th, to answer to her charge.
