UPDATED: Blizzard-like conditions moving out, zero visibility still expected in Muskoka: EC

Environment Canada is warning drivers to be cautious on the roads this morning.

Overnight, blizzard-like conditions hit portions of Muskoka, causing whiteout conditions and heavy snowfall. While the storm might weaken, blowing snow is still expected to cause more whiteout conditions on the roads, leading to zero visibility for drivers. Another 5 cm of snowfall is expected today, before the snow storm moves out of the district in the afternoon.

However, blizzard conditions are expected to continue in areas closer to Georgian Bay including Port Carling and Port Severn. These areas could see up to another 15 cm of snowfall before the storm moves on.
