Calls from the public help Bracebridge OPP make arrest

The OPP is thanking the people who called in a suspicious vehicle in Bracebridge.

It got word of a small car being driven erratically last night. Callers were able to not only describe the car but also got a licence plate number. The OPP says that made finding it dramatically easier.

Just after midnight, the car was found in the Clearbrook Trail area. The OPP says as officers closed in the car tried to back into a driveway to turn around, but ended up getting stuck in a snowbank instead.

A 21-year-old Bracebridge man was arrested and is facing a number of charges. They include possession of cocaine, having fake insurance, having an open container of alcohol, and having cannabis readily available. He’s scheduled to appear in court on March 19th in Bracebridge.
