TLDSB reports high numbers of student aggression towards teachers

Trillium Lakelands District School Board is reporting an increase in student aggression towards teachers. Kevin Cutler, Superintendent of Specialized Services and Safe and Accepting Schools, says the school board has seen an increase in numbers because teachers have been told to report them more often.

In the annual Occupational Health and Safety Report, TLDSB noted that student aggression and violence towards teachers increased from 181 incidents in 2010 and 2011 to 477 incidents in 2013 and 2014.
