Child porn case back in Huntsville court

A Huntsville child porn case is back in court Wednesday.

Cody Secord has been charged with possession of and making available child pornography. Secord was arrested back in December as part of a province-wide investigation involving the OPP and more than two dozen other police agencies.

That operation led to the arrests of 122 people and 551 charges total. Police were able to identify 55 victims throughout the course of the investigations who were referred to community services for help. They also seized 17 guns, including three loaded handguns.

Two years ago in October, the 23-year-old Secord was convicted of sexual interference in the wake of a relationship he had with a 15-year-old girl.  He also was found guilty of violating his probation three times.

His sentence was two years in jail but it was knocked down to 16 months with time served and he was released last year with a third of his sentence still left to go.

There is a publication ban in place for the courtroom proceedings for this case.
