OPP release more details on motel arrest

More details have come out about the police bust at the Motel 6 in Huntsville.

The OPP was called to the 70 Howland Drive address Saturday morning around 5:45am. A man was reportedly causing a disturbance.

The OPP says officers determined the man, who was staying at the Motel 6, was wanted by the North Bay Police. He also possibly had a gun.

The OPP says uniformed officers, the Huntsville Community Street Crime Unit, the Tactics and Rescue Unit and the Emergency Response Team were able to arrest 28-year-old Courtney Antonio Barnett of North York without incident.

Further investigation led to the arrest of a 21-year-old woman from Etobicoke. Oceanna Husbands has been charged with possession of an opioid for the purpose of trafficking and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Police seized $2,600 worth of cocaine and fentanyl.
