It is going to be the last blood drive of 2018.
Canadian Blood Services will be looking for donations on Monday at the Bracebridge Sportsplex at 110 Clearbrook Drive between noon and 4:00pm.
Elaine St. Pierre says they are hoping to get 77 donations.
“We’re looking for 85 people to show up that night,” she explains. “We are looking for about 40 more. There are some bookings but we certainly could use some more to fill that clinic.”
You can visit the Canadian Blood Services website and book an appointment to avoid any delays or show up Monday afternoon.
She says it’s important to keep supplies up over the holidays.
“We tend to get less people in our clinics and it’s a tough time to collect blood because people are away doing other activities,” says St Pierre. “And sometimes that is when the blood is needed most.”
