District warning of adverse driving conditions

The District of Muskoka is asking drivers to use caution.

That’s because the frozen ground conditions combined with the rain is creating the right conditions for ice to build up on area roads. The District says it’s taking steps to control the situation, but as temperatures drop overnight the icy conditions will likely last into the evening.

If you do have to drive this evening slow down, give yourself plenty of time to arrive at your destination, and be prepared for any sudden changing conditions. Environment Canada is predicting snow and the risk of freezing rain late this afternoon and into the night.
