If you haven’t gotten into the giving spirit yet, you still can with Canadian Blood Services.
The organization is coming to Muskoka twice more before the end of 2018, looking to fill an ongoing need in blood stocks.
On Monday, CBS will be in Huntsville at the Faith Baptist Church from 2:00pm to 6:00pm. And at the end of 2018, on December 31st, the organization will be running a clinic at the Bracebridge Sportsplex.
Territory Manager Elaine St. Pierre says every donation makes a difference when it comes to life or death situations.
“A car accident victim, for example, could go through 50 units of blood, a cancer patient could use up to five or eight units of blood a week,” says St. Pierre. “Even things like routine surgeries can use blood, and these are all things that happen regardless of the time of year, regardless of whether it’s a holiday.”
