Bracebridge Rotary Club Hosts Sunday Santa Run

If you see a group of Santas running in Bracebridge Sunday, they are not being chased by kids.

It is the annual Rotary Santa Claus Run. It kicks off at 12:45pm ahead of Sunday’s Santa Claus parade. It starts at the corner of Manitoba Street and McDonald Street.

This is a unique 5km run as on top of the $40 entry fee, runners have to do the distance in a full Santa suit, though the beard is optional.

Proceeds from the Santa Run will support the Out of the Cold program and other projects.

And if you don’t think you can participate because you are fresh out of Santa suits, the run has you covered.

“At the registration desk on Sunday we will have the suits and you can register at Muskoka Audio,” says organizer Bruce Reveille. Cost of the suit is included in the registration.

Registration and pledge forms are also available the Source for Sports, 125 Muskoka Road W – 118W, Bracebridge Sportsplex, Santa’s Village and Livoutside (271 Ecclestone Drive).
