Port Carling locks officially closing this week for winter

The locks in Port Carling are officially closing for the season this week.

As the freezing temperatures roll in, the district is closing both the large and small locks as of Wednesday. They’re expected to re-open in the spring, and exact dates will be posted on the district website.

The locks allow boats to move between Lake Muskoka and Lake Rosseau, which also connects with Lake Joseph.
