A cottage in Port Carling has been destroyed by fire.
The blaze was called in at 1:25pm today. Crews from Station 5 Minett and Station 6 Port Carling arrived to 1794 Peninsula Road to find a fully involved building.
Crews were able to halt the fire’s progress to a nearby boat house.
The cottage was empty at the time of the fire.
The estimated loss is $375,000 and the cause is still being investigated.
