OSPCA asks you to consider getting a furry friend for Christmas

Do you want Santa to bring you a furry little friend for Christmas?

The Ontario SPCA has launched their iAdopt For the Holiday’s campaign.

Community Development Coordinator for the OSPCA, Heather Jobe tells us the initiative is to get animals into the arms of loving families in time for Christmas.

She says that due to the cold weather conditions, many animals who were either stray or hanging around houses during the summer now need to find a home. If you are thinking of adopting, she stresses that now is a perfect time. She told us many perks come with adopting during the campaign. If you adopt a cat or a kitten you will be given a new box of litter and there are also many weekly prizes to be won. She says that you can’t beat Ontario SPCA animals because they are neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and have gone through flea treatments.

If she could have a Christmas wish, Jobe says she’d like to see an empty shelter by Christmas Eve. The campaign started on November 1st and runs till December 31st. For more information on the campaign, click here.
