Video of WWII Aircraft Recovery in Lake Muskoka Surfaces

A video has surfaced of the recovery operation currently underway in Lake Muskoka as efforts are made to raise a a WWII Northrop Nomad Aircraft from the depths of the lake. The Royal Canadian Air Force made the video and their operations will continue until November 3rd. The plane crashed back in 1940 and Bracebridge is serving as the primary staging location for the operation. Video and pics will be available daily at www.forcesimages.ca. Two pieces of the wreckage are being brought to the surface today. The recovered ensemble of the Nomad wreckage will be displayed on a flatbed trailer on November 3rd before being taken to the National Air Force Museum of Canada in Trenton. Click here to see the video.
