Visibilities will be significantly reduced due to heavy snow and blowing snow.

A west to east band of lake effect snow is expected to develop north of Parry Sound and move south across the area this morning. Areas under the most intense portion of this band could receive snowfall amounts near 10 cm in a short period of time. Visibility will also be reduced as strong westerly winds combine with the freshly fallen snow to produce blowing snow.

Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.

Snow squall warnings are issued when bands of snow form that produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
