UPDATED: Massive outage affecting homes in Algonquin Highlands, parts of Muskoka

UPDATE: Power has been restored 

Over 5,500 homes are without power this morning as Hydro One works fix the massive outage.

According to a Hydro One update, the outage is caused by a tree on the line, and crews are attempting to restore power by 10:30am.

Originally nearly 12,000 homes were affected when the power went out at 5am this morning.
