Bracebridge's Off Leash Dog Park receives $15,000 grant

Bracebridge’s Off Leash Dog Park is getting $15,000. The grant is being provided by the TransCanada PipeLines Limited Community Investment Program, to help in the development of a Dog Park at James W. Kerr Park. The estimated cost to construct the 1.7 acre Dog Park is $40,000 and includes fencing, gates, hardware, drainage, garbage bins, and signage. The Dog Park will have two sections including one for large dogs and the other for small pups.  The park will be located at the southwest corner of Kerr Park. This is because it’s close to the parking lot, has lots of trees in the area to help with shade, it’s close to the Trans Canada Trail, and it’s accessible in the winter as the parking lot is plowed.
