Bala is preparing to invite you on a journey through time to the birth of Christ.
On December 1st, the annual Trek to Bethlehem will run again as part of the Christmas season in Muskoka. The free event offers a family-friendly tour through Bala, which will be transformed into a recreation of the iconic biblical village of Bethlehem. Along the way, you’ll meet tax collectors, Roman soldiers, wise men, angels and you’ll be able to witness the manger scene.
Trek to Bethlehem has been run by the residents of Bala since 1993 as a Christmas gift to residents and visitors of Muskoka.
If you’re interested in taking part in the journey you’re invited to show up at 5:30pm and the first tour will start at 6.
