TLDSB Looking for People to Join Special Education Advisory Committee

The school board is looking for members to join its advisory committee for students with special needs.

The Trillium Lakelands District School Board announced that they are looking for people to join the Special Education Advisory Committee. This committee meets 10 times a year and advises the school board what special education programs are going on throughout the schools in the district.

To qualify for the committee, you must be a Canadian citizen, live in the district, over 18 years old, not an employee of the TLDSB and not disqualified from holding office. Anyone that is interested in the position has to write a letter to the school board their eligibility, experience and interest in the SEAC. You should be directing the letter to David Sornberger, the Superintendent Responsible For Specialized Services.

TLDSB says that all the potential candidates will be contacted by the end of November for interviews, adding that the first meeting of the committee will be in January.

The address of the TLDSB office is 300 County Road 36, Box 420 Lindsay, ON K9V 4S4. the deadline to get the letter in is Friday, November 2nd.
