Bracebridge municipal officials urge residents to get out and vote

Bracebridge is urging residents to get out and vote as the municipal election nears.

Director of Corporate Services and Town Clerk Lori McDonald says since advance polls opened voter turnout is at 17 per cent for the municipality. She says with the cut off for voting just days away, the town is hoping to see that number push much higher.

If you’ve received a Voter Information Letter with your ID number, you can go online now to cast your vote any time of day or night up until Monday.

If you haven’t received a Voter’s Card in the mail yet or you have questions about the process you can visit the town office on Taylor Court from 8:30am to 8:00pm for the rest of the week and next Monday. You can also stop by over the weekend from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Town staff can walk you through the process of online voting on computers available at the office. You must have a valid ID with your name and current address listed.
