The Bracebridge OPP is getting a new detachment commander.
Staff Sergeant Michael Burton is being promoted to Inspector and will be taking on the role. Burton is currently the South Georgian Bay detachment operations manager.
He’s served at Southern Georgian Bay detachment since the fall of 2014 after transferring from the Huronia West detachment in Wasaga Beach. The OPP says Burton has been a key part of the management team there and has been highly involved in numerous detachment and public events since his arrival.
He takes over the Bracebridge detachment on October 29th.
