‘Made in Muskoka’ health care plan in the works

A ‘Made in Muskoka’ health care plan proposal is to be sent on to the Province. The purpose is to improve primary care access for seasonal and tourist populations, seniors and low income, marginalized individuals and families. Coming from the District’s Community Services Committee, some of the recommendations include using nurse practitioners and nursing stations throughout Muskoka’s rural communities. The committee met most recently February 5th.
