Thousands of homes still in the dark in Muskoka and surrounding areas
Hydro One crews are still working hard to get many Muskoka customers back on the grid.
After a windstorm tore through the region on Friday, cutting power to tens of thousands of homes, crews have been working to fix the downed lines. The latest outage forecast shows nearly 5,000 customers still don’t have power, with the majority in the Huntsville and Almaguin areas. Hydro One expects most of these properties to be restored by about 10:00pm tonight.
However, it’s a different story in Almaguin, where pockets of properties could remain in the dark until tomorrow night.
