Lakeland Association of Realtors sees dip in July sales, while prices increase

Prices are higher, but sales are lower.

That’s the general consensus from Lakeland Association of Realtors for property sales in Muskoka this past July.

The number of non-waterfront property sales dipped by 23 to 82 in the past month, with the average price jumping by about $50,000 to just over $344,000.

Waterfront properties were almost unchanged compared to 2017, with 92 sales logged in July. The average price on waterfront properties dropped by about $70,000 to $630,000.

For the entire catchment area of the association, which includes Parry Sound, Haliburton and Orillia, there have been just over 1,600 properties sold this year.
