A rainfall warning is in effect.

Environment Canada says Muskoka, Parry Sound, Rosseau and Killbear Park can all expect heavy rain today. Between 30 and 60 mm is expected to fall as showers and thunderstorms move into the area.

The agency says the wet stuff will arrive later this morning or early in the afternoon and should last through the evening. You should be on the lookout for flash flooding and pooling water on the roads, as well as flooding in low-lying areas and washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.

The My Muskoka Now Newsroom is keeping an eye on the storm and will keep you updated.
