Next week students at Nipissing University’s Muskoka Campus will help fight violence against women. Muskoka’s Domestic Abuse Review Team (DART) is hosting events there all week long. Thing’s kick off Monday between 4 and 6:30pm with a keynote address in the lecture hall for students by Alison Irons, mother of slain Nipissing student Lindsay Wilson, as well as a presentation by the White Ribbon Campaign’s Jeff Perrera.
Afterwards a coffeehouse is being held in the Lakehouse at the campus. On Friday, the One Billion Rising flash mob will take place in the campus foyer, with opening speeches by Dawn Novak. That event is open to the public.
