Muskoka DART fights violence against women

Next week, Muskoka’s Domestic Abuse Review Team (DART) will help end violence against women.
On Monday at Nipissing University’s Muskoka campus in Bracebridge there’ll be a keynote address for students in the lecture hall between 4 and 6:30pm by Alison Irons, mother of slain Nipissing student Lindsay Wilson. There will also be a presentation by the White Ribbon Campaign’s Jeff Perrera. Then at 6:45pm in the Lakehouse, there’ll be a coffee house featuring local musicians. Entry to that is by donation to the Lindsay Wilson Scholarship Fund. On Friday, the annual One Billion Rising flash mob will happen in the campus foyer, with opening speeches by Dawn Novak. That event is open to the public.
