Lake of Bays Township mulls new shooting bylaw

The Township of Lake of Bays is asking for residents’ input on a by-law to regulate the discharge of firearms and bows. The Town has recently received complaints of a resident conducting target practice shooting in a community zone. The proposed by-law would forbid shooting on properties that are less than five acres in size, within 300 metres of a dwelling on another lot and within 300 metres of a public road.
