A Lake of Bay’s man 210-kilometre journey is coming to an end next week.

On Monday, Glenn Vickery will complete his personal challenge to swim the entire shoreline of Lake of Bays. He started the swim in May and has been completing various legs of the journey throughout the months.

Vickery, who has competed in various swimming competitions across the globe, felt it was important to take on this trek to promote the natural beauty of the lake and raise awareness on the need to protect it. He’s also been collecting donations for three non-profit organizations that focus on nature preservation.

Vickery will wrap up his swim at South Portage where he started off the trek in May.
