Improving Gravenhurst’s economic development plan was a major topic at last night’s All Candidates Forum. Nearly 300 people attended the Gravenhurst Opera House to hear from 18 different candidates in this year’s municipal election. Topics discussed by candidates include the Town’s current proposal for Fibre Optic High Speed Internet. Many candidates agreed that current council is heading in the right direction and that high speed internet would help to sustain business development and growth in our area. Meantime, Ward 1 Candidate, Steven Klinck also received applause for his suggestion of bringing a post-secondary institution to Gravenhurst to further job creation.
