Organ Donor Swim Hits Lake Muskoka Waters for 3rd Straight Year

Six swimmers will swim a total of 30 kilometres across Lake Muskoka on Saturday to raise funds and awareness for organ donation.

It is the third year of the Organ Donor Swim and it features current and former competitive triathletes who will break up the swim from Gravenhurst to Port Carling in one kilometre legs, with each swimmer taking on five kilometres in total.

Ricky Jacob’s is one of the organizers and says all the swimmers are good athletes but it is a big challenge.

A group of kayakers, a pontoon boat, and support boat will be escorting the swimmers and are asking boaters to show extra caution in the area of the swim which begins 6:30 AM Saturday morning.
