Premier Doug Ford Cancels Election Of Muskoka District Chair

Premier Doug Ford is cancelling the election of a District Chair in Muskoka.

Ford says the residents and taxpayers do not need another layer of politicians and dysfunction.

The District Chair position will continue to be appointed by District Council.

Ford says they are taking a pause so they can closely examine regional governments.
