Bracebridge is staying under budget for some needed repairs to the Memorial Arena.
The town has signed on with a contractor from Espanola, which has completed work for Bracebridge in the past. The 2018 budget had allocated $45,000 for the concrete repairs, and the contractor has agreed to do the work for just under that amount.
Bracebridge is still working towards getting shovels in the ground for the proposed arena, expected to be built behind Your Independent Grocer on Salmon Avenue. The town is looking for provincial and federal funding to help offset the cost of the project.
